Nanoose Bay Halloween Walk held on our farm started way back in 2006 with a few friends and family! This Spooky creative event was a continuation of my sisters event on her farm in Delta BC, and our friends the Murdoch family who hosted an annual Halloween for friends family and neighbours here in our community. Both these ladies gifted some of their Halloween decorations and off we went!

With the creative partner Rhonda and then later my very creative friends Kris & Jennifer, once we put our creative heads together amazing things happen!! We took THE HALLOWEEN walk to the next level and since then it has grown into a Monster event held over three nights, with proceeds going to two local organizations. The Ballenas Whalers Football Society and Nanoose Bay Elementary School.

We changed things up last year by offering "NEW" earlier times 12-3pm are reserved for anyone to enjoy the walk during the daylight (Saturday and Sunday ONLY). Halloween parking will be at Stone Tree Farm 3min walk up Stewart Rd. to our side entrance gate.

This event would not happen without the support of an Army of volunteers, friends and family and local businesses supporting this event. Save On Foods, Quality Foods - Nanoose Bay, and Thrifty Foods in Parksville together donate over 175 pumpkins to help light the path of the Halloween Walk for some good old fashion Spooky time!

"NEW" earlier times 12-3pm is for anyone to enjoy the walk during the daylight (Saturday and Sunday ONLY). The "SCARY Walk" will be open but NO scary monsters will be popping out at the DAYTIME WALK from 12-3pm!

The HALLOWEEN WALK takes approx. 20 -35 min.

There are TWO section of the HALLOWEEN WALK.

"SPOOKY WALK" FUN for all ages - young and old.

"SCARY WALK" NOT suitable for children 6 and under,

children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. No carrying children through the SCARY WALK Baby strollers NOT permitted in the "SCARY WALK"

Once you have gone through the "SPOOKY WALK" and If you DO NOT wish to continue onto the back "SCARY WALK" we will directed you back onto the Spooky Walk and exit. Nanoose Bay Lions Club & Grand Concession will be running a light concession. Free cookies for children 14 and under - while quantities last. (sorry no GF cookies available)

IMPORTANT - PARKING! There is no parking within the event.

I bought my ticket online - Do I need a receipt?

● Online Tickets tickets will be held under your last name at the entrance desk (no printable ticket is needed).

I don’t need all of my tickets, can I get a refund?

● Sorry, once purchased all tickets are non refundable.

I need another ticket?

● If the event is not sold out, tickets can be purchased at the entrance table for $18/each. Cash or Card are accepted.

How long does the Walk take

● About 20–35 minutes. Your ticket is good for one trip through the walk.

I have mobility issues/ I use a wheel chair. Can I go on the walk?

● Yes, check in at the entrance table, we will call a crew member to assist you through the tight areas of the walk.

What’s the difference between the Spooky Walk and the Scary Walk?

● There is a gate keeper at the start of the scary walk.

● Spooky Walk: Fun for all ages, with pumpkins, decorations, and mild scares.
● Scary Walk: Darker and more intense. Not suitable for children under 6. Children 12 and under must be with an adult. No carrying kids or using strollers in this section.

Is the event too scary for young kids?

● Yes and No - there are two sections of the evening walk and we can not judge this for your child. Not suitable for children under 6. Children 12 and under must be with an adult. No carrying kids or using strollers in this section.

● The daytime walk (12–3 pm) is recommended for young children, as no monsters will be jumping out.

● In the evening, the option to go on the family-friendly Spooky Walk is available. The Scary Walk is not suitable for children six and under, children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Children must walk on their own and can not be carried through the Scary Walk

Do you hand out candy?

● No candy is given out, but children 14 and under receive a free cookie (while supplies last). No GF cookies available sorry. Look for the cookie shack at the end of the walk. There is also a concession available, The Nanoose Bay Lions will be here serving light concession with Hot dogs & hot coco along with Gran Concession and Mini Donuts!

Can we wear costumes?

● Yes. However, NO Halloween MASKS ARE ALLOWED for safety reasons.

if its raining is it still a go?

● Yes the show must go on - The Halloween Walk goes ahead rain or shine—please dress for the weather. In case of extreme weather and cancellation please check the FACEBOOK page for up to date info . tickets are non refundable.

Where are the washrooms?

● Porta potties are located at the entrance and at the end of the walk by the cookie shack.

Can we bring our dog?

● No absolutely NO entry with dogs.

What does this event support?
